Editing: Screen Shots

Below is the Intro to my Film, the Soundcheck/Behind the Scenes section. For this i part i have decided to use Audio from the on-board mics on the cameras, i have used four different live sounds as you can see in the screenshot.

Below i have added my title, which i later changed for my final video.

After finishing the main bulk of my "Intro" i have decided to use a song for the main section they played during soundcheck which can be heard in the intro just to add a difference to the video as it is a studio recording. This will take my film up to 4 minutes.

Now i have added extra clips to my "Intro" and turned them Black and White i am starting to edit the main section which will be in colour.

Here you can see the process about two quarters of the way through the song, this clips are really starting to bulk up and take place but i am happy with the edit so far.

Here is the timeline on the final version after finishing editing. I am happy with the film and enjoyed editing on Final Cut Pro X, this is my first main editing project using this software and i throughly enjoyed it.

Key Questions?

Have You Finished Filming? I finished filming on March 30th.

Post-Production, Where are you at? Although i have collected footage and looked through it i havent yet started the main editing process as i havent got footage from the second camera due to logistics as the footage was too big to send during a two week break and then there were problems transporting it on to pen-drives.

Have you completed necessary production documents? Yes, all documents except for a shooting script - i had ideas about what shots i wanted prior to filming but due to the subject i had to see what happend at the time and work around that.

How Many Weeks Do you have Left? 4 weeks of Editing before final edit and 3 before a rough edit.

Does your blog show contining evidence of your Production Managment? Yes, i have uploaded all documents and Aims and will continue this as i begin to edit by the end of this week.

Will this piece of work show you best skills? It would show some as i was very hands on and took on many roles in this piece of work so there will be a range of skills used.

Client - Thoughts and Decision

Client Gig Dates: Army of Freshmen, April 19th. Kings & Crows, March 30th.

Both potential Clients for me are at both ends of the spectrum in terms of working with them. AoF are an already esablished american band where as K&C are a new and upcoming local band.

As K&C are local it means they would be easily ascessable if needed and the fact that they are new and the event will be for their EP launch which would mean they would possibly be more excited and more on my wavelength.

As AoF are esablished and released many albums, videos and perform all over the world it could be an exciting project which would also add a great client to my film work.
